Just seen a brilliant Grand slam tennis ad on the T.V. in the U.K. It is kind of linked to an ad showing WM+ showcasing WSR table tennis. The ad shows people  holding Wii remotes in the crowd of a tennis match. The people in the crowd are kind of mimicking the players on court. As it ends, the umpire calls "out" and both John Mcenroe (legend) who is in the crowd and Andy Murray shout "You cannot be serious" at the same time. Great stuff. Am sure this will have excellent market penetration. Especially as Wimbledon is on now.

Yeah I have seen that a couple of times... it's a good advert.

The games boxart is kind of poor though... I think it will put more people off than entice them.

It was great to see Mac on it. He really seems to have a good sense of humour!

Oh, good! 3rd Party Wii games need that kind of advertising! :) Haven't seen it, hope I will. :)

We got massive Sega coverage of Wimbledon in oz. Competitions and ads for VT. There's got to be a bump.

That ad runs here in Sweden as well.

I would think an ad like this should cause a bump. I mean, in the U.K. at least John McEnroe and Andy Murray are pretty much household names. It is quite a fun ad, too. Not sure if it is being shown all over Europe though as i don't know if they are as well known there. It should boost sales which is a good thing as it's a really solid game and works really well with WM+.

I would have thought they wou;ld have had Bjorn Borg in the Swedish ad or maybe Robin Soderling. Is he really well known in Sweden?

For the first time I saw big posters in the city advertising a game for the Wii (in London)

The game is Virtua Tennis 2009 for the Wii. O_O
Posters in the Underground (train stations), big posters on buildings and stuff. I was REALLY surprised. They should do the same for The Conduit. :)
