Well then that review above should tell you why user reviews don't mean anything. Every console will have trolls and fanboys giving 0's and 10's hence such scores can never be taken seriously.

I think for the most part reviews are fine. As people have said before the gaming sites have reviews that target their main audience. If you want reviews that are friendlier towards family/casual games then find a review site that reflects your taste, simple as that. Seeing as how it's mostly hardcore gamers that even read reviews I would say most websites have their reviews spot on in terms of targeting their specific audience.

User scores for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 are ALWAYS greatly affected by fanboys spamming and giving 1/10 to games on a different platform.

Are you saying that everyone loves the wii, so they don't spam user reviews? Cause I think theres plenty of examples I could easily find that demonstrated the contrary.

0/10 reviews occur mostly in IGN and gamespot, i think the gamer score on gamestats is taken from many sites, not just those two

i don't think they are affected that much, otherwise it would have been impossible for most Xbo360/Ps3 games to have a gamer score above 6/10

it happens on all 3 consoles, so it's somehow balanced

the point is that Wii reviews should be made according to average Wii owners view (because they are the ones who buy them), not hardcore Xbox360/Ps3 gamers hmhm, gamespot

No, but the rivality between the Wii and any of the other consoles is nothing compared to what it is with the two HD consoles. PS3 or 360 fanboys don't have much to gain by sabotaging Wii user scores since they mostly don't care about weather if it succeed or not. 

And how do you know that these scores are the average of what all the users think instead of just the hardcore fans of the game?  How do you know that any of these people actually played the game?  You know nothing about these people or the criteria they used, all they did was slap a number on a game without having to give any kind of basis for it. 

You may hate how reviews score the games you like, but atleast they give reasons.  These user scores give you nothing.
