Forums - Microsoft - 360 will have the highest worldwide Attach Ratio ever?

It's already 7.7 games sold per console, it is going a bit every month. Is it going to achieve 10 games per console wordwide or even more?

I'm sorry... who exactly might you be??

On Topic... I really don't  think it will reach a 10 ratio but it has definitely achieved the highest attach ratio for a game console at it's specific current point in it's life cycle. IIt will only get higher it seems as time has proven  with the system so far but sooner or later I feel it will have to start moving down as the more mainstream crowd moves in less owners will have that large a library.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Which console hold the record for the highest attach ratio now? I had heard it was the gamecube with a ratio of over 10, but i don't know if that is true or not. Anybody know the answer to this.

I thought it already was?

That's hard to say. Depends how fast its hardware sales will decline.
The drop of its momentum after the first year in the market and a decent number of games has helped a lot with the attach rate.

Ei Kiinasti.

Eikä Japanisti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Maybe it will, but not 10...

But I have to ask this: Who fwckin' cares?

Wii attach rate is way below it and yet it sells more 3rd party software than Microsoft would ever dream of achieving with 360.

Attach Rate in the consoles is like Penis Measurement between young teenagers, only serves to show off...

10 may be possible...

I believe PS2 is the console to beat, though I can't seem to get exact numbers. Sony shipped 1240mil software by the end of March 2007, when VGC has their hardware sold at ~108mil. The attach ratio now is probably around 10-11, pretty high I'd say.

lol, Xbox owners buy a lot of games. I buy most of my games used, and I seriously have 40 games I own, and a shitload more I've rented. In fact, everyone on this forum that I am a friend with on XBL, has played 50 games+ on their profile, as far as I know. My gamerscore is about 8k last time I checked, and that is super low compared to most of these maniacs.

I still have about 7 games on my "to play list" still in the plastic.

As for my PS3, my brother has that, has for a while. He has about 10 games on it, and I rent occasionally.

I have a crapload of PC games, PS2 games, and DLC as well.

I think that one reason I chose to make the 360 my main purchase platform was achievements and gamerscore...as well as XBL silver(the free one), where you can chat with friends, ect, without having to play online.

I do upgrade to gold every few months to dust some ass on Expert Guitar Hero. Besides that game, I'm not too big on online games. I buy game content, not game engines. :P

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

The X360 will reach 10 games sold per console.

The X360 is the true software king of this generation. And by tradition from the mid-gen and onward the software ratios steadily just go up.

A game like Halo: Reach comes out and sells 15 million copies on 50million X360 owners, and that's already a rise of 0.3 in attach rate from just one game.
