Halo 3 had a 40 million marketing campaign. Don't know where you pulled that random blog from but obviously you did some digging to find it.

So here's the misconception: That 360 is flop proof. *Looks at Too Human and Ninja Blade*

Now if I said Little Big Planet had sold more then double what LO sold that would be a fact. Nobody is taking anything away from Gears or Halo but trying to rag on PS3 exclusives that have "only" sold 2 million? There are exclusive games on all 3 consoles that have sold much less.

Even though you're banned for doing exactly what I called you out on I will reply anyways.

Just do a simple google search and you will see multiple sites have the budget at $10 million, that was simply the first link. Hell even MS publicly announced the 10 million dollar budget so I don't see where your trying to go with this. The fact that that piece of information is not referenced on wikipedia shows it was written by an uninformed person.

Secondly no one said the 360 is flop proof, this entire argument has been why is the 360 able to sell its high caliber exclusives at a much higher amount and rate than equivelant PS3 titles. This isn't debatable, the numbers are there for everyone to see. You took a speculative thread and tried to turn it into a flame war and for that you got what you deserved.

Not that you can reply to this but I thought I would educate you a little nonetheless.

Come school me then. And for every 360 exclusive that sold over a million I'll show you 2 that did not.

I only hope for one thing that Sony advertises Unacharted 2 with the E3 trailer. The cinematic trailer shown in movie theaters and TV worked very well for MGS4.

Isn't it too early to tell that inFAMOUS underperformed?

The point is that the biggest selling PS3 exclusives have sold MUCH less than the biggest selling exclusive games on every other console(except maybe the PSP).

That could change with GT...but bro, what do you have, MGS4? Halo 3 sold 10 million units. The PS3 has nothing near that level so far, in exclusive games. 4m copies is a flop when it comes to big 360 exclusives, but it's the best the PS3 has done so far.

I mean, Fable 2, a tier 2 AA exclusive 360 game, can keep up and pass most anything on the PS3.

It's funny that you have to resort to a jrpg to find something to flame the 360 on, when it comes to software sales. At least the 360 has jrpgs. You have nothing on the PS3 to compare it to, but strategy games.

Isn't it amazing that 3 years later, the PS3 still doesn't have a single jrpg worth talking about, that isn't a strategy game? Vesperia will change all that, but last gen, the PS3 was jrpg king. Kinda sad, really.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Good job finding a spelling error in my post, must make you feel really smart.

Are you seriously struggling to understand what the entire topic of this thread is? I've stated it multiple times yet you keep going back to your same idiotic argument. I suggest you go back and read the OP and stop making a fool of yourself. Everyone else in this thread seems to understand but you.

I guess it's too much to expect a fanboy to exhibit logic and reason...

No, he's a troll. He understands and accepts, he just doesn't admit. His conversation with you isn't a real conversation. It is not based on common sense. Instead, his conversation with you, to him, is a PR battle. He posts here to fight PR battles for Sony. Read his posting history before you invest too much time refuting him.

It didn't underperform. It did exceptionally well for a PS3 exclusive. If it was a 360 exclusive with that metacritic score, it would have underperformed, but the 360 sells more software than the PS3. Why can't people admit that?

@Kowen, yes Sony does suck at marketing, which is why they are hiring new young guys, and firing the old people that know nothing about marketing. However InFamous was marketed very well, its a step, but Killzone 2 had the worst marketing campaigne EVER. Who wants to see a commercial about a 360 degree bullet..wtf?

Your right Zen I shouldn't have gotten drawn into an argument with a troll, that was my mistake. I'm just going to stop replying to Steroid from now on. Thanks for stepping in and giving me the right perspective on the situation.

I enjoy good games on all 3 consoles. You don't need to respond to me, but I will shut you down if you want to spread FUD. I'm not even going to list the 360 exclusives that failed to crack a million. It's right there in the games section for you to see.
