When I traveled to Japan last summer I was forwarned of this, but I was shocked how well we were treated there. We even made Japanese friends staying there only two weeks, and no, it wasn`t a bull**** school trip.

The biggest racists in the world are emigrants in my opinion.

 

Because a country prefers home-made toys don`t make them racists.

It`s all about beeing enlightened.

 

if racism didnt play a role then explain how there is 1 million 360s in japan while there 17 million in U.S and 12 million in OTHERS? why such a huge gap? i'm not saying its completely base on racism but i feel the jappanese gamers are holding back because of some kind of resentment. the 360 is customizable, it comes in differnt colors even the controlers come in differnt colors, differnt color face plates, theres more jrpg games on the 360 than there are for the ps3 and the jappanese love thier rpgs which is something that the 360 has, the 360 even cost less, indeed 50 percent less, and have more games than the ps3, YET there is only 1 million 360s there compared to 12 and 17 million elsewhere. is it because of the red ring of death that is frighting the japanese gamers still? maybe so but slap on a xclamp fix and your set. (when done properly) i'm not saying this world is filled with hate and racism cuz i believe that there are many good people too but i been alive for almost 25 years and have a good idea how this world is. we need one super power. united earth. peace through power. haha ya.

It's about content, and japanese won't buy 360s all of a sudden just because they could play content they don't want in a different way. Let's wait and see if Microsoft can get japanese companies to develop enticing Natal software  for Japanese audiences. For the moment I'd say "no" because I don't think Microsoft has delivered the content yet, and Natal won't make a difference. And just my opinion but I doubt the easily disoriented average japanese gamer would like a "no-controller" interface.

I would not call it racism rather a form of protectionism. The US can be protective as can Europe.

On topic: I don't think Natal would make a big dent in the Japanese market, unless maybe they released a version of RapeLay for it lol.
