Can you think of any scary sounds you've encountered in a videogame? Only thing I can think of right now is the sounds of the reaper's chains in Persona 3

oh shit that was pretty damn scary. also "cohesto, cohesto, cohesto".
Beserks in Gears of War. That sream freaked me out and you knew that a long running for your life scene was ahead.
^^ How about that elevator part in Dead Space...usually the elevators were a safe spot...not the mining one though. I was all like "Ahh...a nice rest" when the black necros burst down I was like "Oh crap..." and fumbling to get my line gun out.
The screams of despairs of the souls trapped in the living floor in Eternal Darkness. This was rather perturbing.
- the differents sound in the prison near the Toluka lake in Silent hill 2 (PS2)
- the Bobby's weapon sound in Clock Tower (Snes)
- the "dog foot step" in RE2 when u can't see them because they are on the top of the building and you are wondering "which type of enemy makes this noise ? it is something walking ? or just a "water drop" that falls on the ground ?
Time to Work !
Heart beats..Scares the sh*t out of me.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing
(mostly)
And shepherds we shall be,
For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints
"Okay?" from SO4
:-p
no, actually for me it was the stomping of the first Cyberdemon back in DOOM.
I was gaming with headphones at the time and the tension almost made me soil myself.
