Forums - Nintendo - IMPORTS! WE HAVE IMPORTS!

One of the hopes of the VC has become a reality. We only get two VC games this week, but neither was (legally) available in North America before. We have Super Mario Bros 2, the actual NES game that was remade into The Lost Levels, and Sin and Punishment.

Can you imagine what this opens?

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

They're coming to Europe too! Good news everyone!!!

I was thinking could this have been the "surprise" eluded too? We'll never really know, technically it'd be a day late(lol) and it may be just speculation..

Sin and Punishment is a pretty good game too >.>

Nice adition for the allready impressive VC ... I hope that one day Sony will make the same as Nintenod does at this point :?

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Now if they can only put Famicom Wars (and Super Famicom Wars) on VC too.

You may not be so pleased to have the original Super Mario 2. It's incredibly, eye-gougingly hard. And you don't get a stage select feature like you do in All-Stars.

Still, very cool of Nintendo. Now if they would just open the gates to six or seven games a week.

Edit: Wait, Sin and Punishment is a Treasure game? Why didn't you tell me?

/runs off to download.

Now since a lot of the best TG-16 and TG-CD games were Japan only...

Of course some of them would be rated AO, but a lot would still work.

Not too excited about SMB2 (Mario + punishingly difficult does not a good game make), but Sin & Punishment looks bloody awesome. It's supposedly a 3D rail shooter along the lines of Starfox. And, sadly, despite being one of my favorite genres, there's all too few 3D rail shooters out there. So, consider it downloaded on my part!

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

The point is that neither game was released in the US (just remade for the US). It's more the signifigance than the game itself.
