K-On is a good anime but still doesnt compare to the music based anime Beck. The character development is lacking and the main character is on a level of stupidity that isn't completely fitting for the show. The show also has some rather boring parts which is surprising for an anime that only has 12 episodes. Some of the episodes themselves really seems to be filler while the producers figured out where they were going with it.
