Maybe it was the amazing expectations.  Maybe it was the cell phone.  Maybe it was Brucie.  For whatever reason, I was completely underwhelmed when I bought Grand Theft Auto 4.  Many of you were, too.  Well, a week ago, I FINALLY bought Saints Row 2.  It was cheap, and I wanted to check out some of the downloadable content.  I fired up the game, and was instantly let down by the graphics.  I was ready to toss this game on the shelf with its precurser.......but for some reason, I kept playing.  And I kept playing.  And I kept playing. 

This game is FUN.  Its been my obssession for the last week.  I'd find myself up at 2am, playing this game, even when I had to be at work at 630am.  That's something that has only happened four times, this generation (Gears of War 2, Zelda TP, Metal Gear Solid 4, Lost Odyssey) to me.  If you were one of the people who let down by GTA4, buy SR2.  It rocks!!

The reason you were underwhelmed was because you were expecting the best game in the history of gaming due to the fact it received a 98 on metacritic, instead you did get a AAA title but the difference is that its not even close to as good as the metacritic score.

I haven't played Saints Row 2 yet, but I really did enjoy Saints Row 1 and recommend picking it up. I liked it better then San Andreas. GTA IV on the other hand is a solid game and worth every bit of the $39.99 of the current price.

Brucie was awesome man. He was the stereotypical depiction of a roid-head. Sexually confused and a lack of confidence. He was perfect.

Yeah I liked SR2, there were some really fun moments in that game that made me like it more than GTA IV. Although GTA IV wasn't a bad game either.

Hey I just got Saints Row 2, found it cheap online. Installing it at the moment.

It`s short and not that well written as gta 4...but still a lot of fun. Once you finish it...you`ll go back to gta.

Agreed! Saints row 2 is what gta4 should have been :(
