it is basically the same concept isn't it? they added new thing and new planets right? The ONLY reason this is a standalone is probably the size of the game, to me it's still an expansion, and It had nothing to do with what you said, so calling my post silly, is what's "silly" |
So I guess Halo 2 was an expansion, Gears of War 2 was an expansion, all the GTA's after 3 on the PS2 were expansions...
Those all fit your description.

PC - Borderlands 2 (2012)
PC - Deep Rock Galactic (2020)
this is the first time in a long time that nintendo has announce a game more than 6 months in advance to release. frankly, i've forgotten how to hype nintendo games years in advance. xD
As it's been said many times, it's not that we aren't excited for it, it's the fact that we won't see it until 2010 so why hype when we have to wait approx. a year? I'll get hyped for it (and Other M), when more details surface =).

yes, they are then. GTA doesn't though, because cities and landscapes are more improtant in those games than for most games.
I AM EXCITED FOR IT!!!
... Just not about the music. More specifically, the midi-ness of it. SMG had one of the greatest soundtracks in history, I just hope they won't mess it up this time around... Here's hoping.

Then you have the strangest definition of expansion that I have ever seen.

Expansions require that you own the game. Sequels do not.
