I just think it's excitement is currently being stolen by NSWB Wii, as simple as that.

I must say I wasn't too excited when it was announced. However I heard afterward that it would be a lot more difficult, thus engaging my interest more.

Like others have said it's a bit too early to really hype it, NSMBW is on the horizon so that'll get more focus for now, then SMG2 next year.

This is a silly comment.  If it's an expansion then every sequel released on the same console as it's prequel is an expansion. 

Never been a fan of the 3d Marios. Played SMG but interest 1/4 of the way through.

Definately looking forward to NSMBWii though.

it is basically the same concept isn't it? they added new thing and new planets right? The ONLY reason this is a standalone is probably the size of the game, to me it's still an expansion, and It had nothing to do with what you said, so calling my post silly, is what's "silly"
