nah ps3 have the worst rpgs(look at jrpgs). let's hope now for Atelier Rorona on 360. if they will fix technical issues of ps3 version i might pick this up for 20$ if it will be released in europe.

See, I understand this at all.

Disgaea 3, Folklore, and Vaklyria Chronicles are fantastic. It has the better version of Eternal Sonata and Enchanted Arms. (While EA does sucks and ES is alright)

Cross Edge is a mediorce game right up with Star Ocean 4 and Spectral Force 3. Zoids and Operation Darkness are both much worse.

I haven't played enough of TLR (little over an hour) to give a fair opinion (it's pretty bad so far).

Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey are both fantastic. I also thought IU was good.

I don't even see how you can even think that PS3 has the worst RPGs. Nothing is worse than Operation Darkness.

Mist of Chaos says hi.

there's plenty really bad rpgs on ps3 though none of them got released outside of japan. Operation Darkness is like Tales of Vesperia compared to Mist of Chaos in all categories. Mist of Chaos looks like those first gen ps2 japanese srpgs games that sucked so much nobody would dare to release them(graphically i think it looks even worse though).

Mist of Chaos hasn't released in America. So I wasn't counting that.

That one is equal to Operation Darkness according to reviews I've seen.

Ok first you can't compare Star Ocean 4:TLH to the mediocre Spectral Force 3. Star Ocean 4 is right up there with Tales of Vesperia and Lost Odyssey as far as good jrpg's goe this gen. You haven't played more than an hour of the Last Remnant but decide to diss it even though you even stated that you haven't played enough to make an honest opinion? Infinite Undiscovery!? Your kidding me I hope? Star Ocean 4 walks all over that mediocre/average jrpg game. The Last Remnant is right behind Star Ocean:TLH, ToV and LO in best jrpg's this gen. If I had to mix srpg's into the mix VC would go somewhere in the middle for me.

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

Star Ocean is probably a mediocre game at best, but Cross Edge is at least a few levels behind that. It's exceptionally bad with really no redeeming qualities - the gameplay is bad, the story is bad, the graphics are bad and it still manages to lag even with a full 4-5 GB+ install.

Star Ocean 4 at least has an engaging battle system, decent enough graphics and a story that may not be great but not fall-asleep boring.

I really can't think of any RPG for a current gen console that I thought was as good as Shaquille O'Neal. They have more or less been Patrick Ewings.

I loved the story it started picking up a lot around the halfway point and never looekd back! :) As for this statement of yours I highlighted if the only somewhat weak part of Sta Ocean 4 is the story then why would you dare call it mediocre? I know some people think it took to long for the story to get interesting but I loved it and because I agree with you on your opinion about it's combat system and graphics to me this is my top jrpg thus far this gen. Once the story really kicked off it shot above Tales of Vesperia but they are nearly equal in the end I think the battle system is what makes it the better of the 2 in my eyes.

My top 5 jrpg's this gen in order:

1.) Star Ocean:The Last Hope

2.) Tales of Vesperia

3.) Lost Odyssey

4.) The Last Remnant

5.) Blue Dragon

Hope to add Magna Carta 2 in there somewhere later this year!

I most defintley won't be picking this up. I think this is the lowest rated JRPG Ever. What do they hope to accomplish by porting an enhanced remake to the Xbox 360? An extra 20k sales?

Will probably pick up at $15 or less. Hell you can get Operation Darkness and Zoids for $10 or less plenty of places. Spectral Force 3 I am still waiting for the $10 mark lol.

360 has plenty of great RPGs, too bad this won't be one of them.

It's just that simple.

Also 80k copies sold on the PS3 + more to come. I don't think the 360 will be able to beat that unless theres an insane offering in Japan that people flock to. I wouldn't be too surprised to see it sell under 20k alone in Japan.

It's just that simple.

But why an enhanced port? Wouldn't that be kind of wasteful given the mediocre sales it had?
