British Sales Charts: If There's Something Strange...

For the week ending June 20, The Sims 3 remained atop the British sales charts. No surprises there. But at #4? There's something interesting. Ghostbusters. On PS3.

It's interesting because when a multiplatform game launches in the UK, the 360 version anecdotally charts around at number 2-4, while the PS3 version charts 6-10. If the PS3 version of Ghostbusters got all the way up to #4, imagine where the 360 and PC versions would be if things hadn't got all messy.

Grand Slam Tennis moves up in its second week to number 7! Great going there. Two EA Wii titles in the multiplat top 10, they must be pleased.

And I just bought Grand Slam Tennis and Rock Band 2 (Wii) today...

LOL yeah, kinda stupid because doesn't Sony get royalties from the Wii/360 games since they own the rights to the movies, or does that not apply to GB the videogame?

Ghostbusters on 360 is due out later this year...so expect some big holiday numbers when it drops.
Grand Slam tennis will pick up a lot of steam with Wimbledon starting. Expect EA Sports Active to be in the top 10 this time next year and with Tiger Woods 10 out now it looks like EA are finally taking a big chunk of the Wii market. Took them a while to realise that shoddy PS2 ports and shoddy yearly updates = bad sales & even worse rep.



Playing: Borderlands(great co-op,HUGE amount of content),Too Human(better late than never lol),Saints Row 3(Penetrator ftw),Minecraft 360,Harry Potter Lego.

I felt so sad when I saw the ad in the cinema before The Transformer movie.

It was like "hey, this is a Sony game. Only on Playstation!!"

I hope when the 360 and Wii versions come out they sell very poorly. That'll teach Atari a lesson. There will be much better games coming out around that period.
