Forums - Gaming - Do WRPGs' make you sad like JRPGs'?

Blowing up Smiling Jack's head and splattering his brain all over the wall made me sorta sad considering he's one of the few raiders you actually interact with since he isn't set as hostile.

Of course, looting that shotgun off his rotting carcass soothed the pain.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

lol hell no. They need to have a good story first and WRPG's just plain fail in this catagory which is why i dont buy them. The only games ive seen that delivered *epic tales* is KOTOR and Mass Effect

And what the hell is a SRPG??

The best kind of RPG that makes jRPGs and wRPGs look shallow by comparison.

Planescape Torment and Baldur's Gate 2 are both WRPG's that had tear jerker moments for me.

Or Slow Role Playing Game... =_=

For me it's JRPGs, most of them have an emotional story or, at least, part of it. I can't say the same about the WRPGs I played, even though they were good, there's no feeling of attachement towards the characters and/or the events aren't touching. It leave me to say a simple "meh".
