Xbox 360 hits the big screen at Cowboys Stadium

A tipster at our sister site Engadget snapped this shot from Gears of War 2's title screen, while waiting for a controller to be reconnected, on the enormendous 72 x 160-foot 'LED wall' at Dallas Cowboys Stadium late last week. It's reported that the stadium was being set up for the Jonas Brothers' June 20 concert, and the one piloting the system was none other than Steve 'SoneAF1015' Fatone, the group's video director.

Even better, footage emerged on YouTube as well (seen after the break), showcasing the screen in action, though playing Halo 3 as opposed to Gears of War 2. Other shots drop presumably Mr. Fatone (pronounce that as you will) playing Call of Duty 2 and, erm, showing everyone his Gamercard, paltry Gamerscore in-tow. But alas, congrats to you, Mr. Fatone, you've likely just played the biggest game of Halo 3 ever.

That screen will take my neighborhood's entire block if I set it at the back of my house, next I'll connect those stadium speakers to it to have a complete entertainment center...

soon enough I'll have my next door neighbor knocking at my door telling me the sound is a bit to loud....lol

You could do 20 player split screen on that. I think it would be chaotic and a blast. Trying to keep your eyes on your screen would be interesting.

I hope they leave it paused for like 2 hours, and then there is an image burn in the screen >.

Didn't sony say that the ps3 was the only console powerful enough to run on their big screen at e3, well I guess this proves another lie.

That's cool, I need to grab one of those giant screens next time I am at Wal-Mart.

Without upscaling , any console can play games on any screen , i remember playing ps2 games on a screen a little smaller than that and it looked okay. but upscaled.

and about that ps3 can play on that giant screen without any upscaling is something i wanna see myself before believing.
