Since there has been so much talk about game improvements and innovations recently thought I'd share my idea for a new game.

A new Road Rash.

Now before everyone goes insane saying "ZOMG RR returns!", hear out the details.

This is a Road Rash unlike any other.

Imagine an MMO based Road Rash mixed with the elements of Google Maps and User generated maps.

So, you could put any start-finish area and race that against computer opponents, or synced friends, while at the same time racing through your own neighborhoods. This would constitute the basic RR package. However, you would also be able to pick "unlimited mode" which has user generated maps with eccentric areas like Outer Space, Under water, internet "tubes" and much more. You would not only have typical weapons like the cattleprod, chain, and bat but also speed powerups, fire trails, and flying "bomber" type powerups.

Although this may be reminiscent of Mario Kart or the new ps3 racer, this game would constitute a much more realistic type atmosphere that old fans of road rash may remember.

What do you think? Don't we really need a next-gen road rash???

Wasn't Road Rash just an arcade-style biking game where you could smack other drivers around?

I think you'd have to revamp a crapload of things besides DLC and track selection for it to work as a full game in this day and age.

Not a bad idea- but Id much rather see destruction derby make a comeback.

destruction derby is another gem that needs to be remade. Any game that could survive the horrible ps1 graphix should be remade. That includes that old fighting game where you could kill the opponent in one hit.

The only thing I liked about RR were the animations at the end of the race.

Oh that would rule. My girlfriend loved road rash, as did I.

Waaay better than these snobbish, boring race games where the cars never get damaged and there are no pedestrians dodging insane motorcycle riders beating the hell out of each other while barreling down a city road at 150 km/h :D

One thing it would have to have is a good fps rate, lots of people, and MULTIPLAYER!! :D :D
