sorry for your loss, hope u can get your saves some how. i always use a can of compressed air on my ps3 every day and it works like a charm .

Im a 60gb user and my ps3 is fine.. Ive had it since launch so nearly 3 years

I hope the ps3 gets fixed making music

My 60GB died on Killzone 2 release day ( I was so pissed ) . Seriously the BC Models are not as reliable. If you use the BC A LOT , then you should get a BC again MM. If not , I advise a more reliable newer Non BC Model EDIT ; I got a replacement Non BC Model free of charge and out of warranty.

Wait, the PS3 can save PS1/PS2 games? I thought it needed memory cards for PS1/PS2 games. Or is that just for your already saved to a MC PS1/PS2 games?

The PS3 can make a virtual memory card to save your PS1/PS2 games, the other option is if you have save files on a memory card already and want to get that file to your ps3, you need to buy something.

 

Sorry for your loss MM, I wonder what it could have been, seems kinda mysterious since it happened while you were sleeping......was anyone near you at that time?

it sounds like the power source died, the only ones that can fix that it's sony.

65nm models look like don't have that problem.
