Yeah that really sucks.
I know what you feel. Something similar happened when my PC died (2 weeks ago) and my 360 got RROD (1 week) ago.
At least I have 3 months warranty left on my 360....

You could try external enclosure for the sata II hard drive, which cost about $10. Connect it to your pc and try to salvage some of the data. Although I'm not sure it will work or not.

dude happened 2 me SAVE UR DATA as much as u can on a memory stick duo etc.. then it wont b as bad.

Maybe you can get a harddrive to USB connector, then you could move your saves onto your PC? This is just a random idea, I haven't really done much with the harddrive or saves in my PS3, so I have no clue if it'll work or if it's even worth the trouble to you.

;_; Im sorry man. 60GB PS3s are too precious to lose, keep a hold of your console and get it repaired. Don't settle for an inferior PS3 like most people do these days.

You mean keep hold of it instead of getting a smoother, more efficient and reliable console?

I get jealous of my mates 80GB's, suppose it depends on how much he uses his BC :P
