Forums - Gaming - Project Natal: A flop?

the reason that it is voted down is because. there are alot of fanboys here. that are against the x360.

I do not think it is going to flop

Bingo. Most 360 owners are excited about it, most PS3 owners want to marginalize it. That is why the VGChartz poll gave best of show to the PS3 and biggest flop to Natal. We have more PS3 fanboys here than Nintendo and Microsoft combined, and they mostly view the 360 as the biggest threat to their console, and they are mostly all rabid as well.

Is what I'm saying a lie, lol?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

lol, your posts give great laughs.

@Zen

Indeed you are lying. The biggest flop according to the poll is the Wii Vitality Sensor. Honestly they're all pretty damn close.

...

@zen

i do believe the nitendo fanboy population out numbers the sony fanboys. they are just not as vocal.

I think Zen is referring to how close they all are, considering the Wii vitality sensor's importance and versatility to the Wii, in theory is near nothing compared to Natal and the Wands for their respective consoles. Unless the entire poll was simply a site-wide joke.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

And lol. i misread the question when i first voted. so i picked natal instead of mario

oh yeah, ps3 and nintendo fanboys have a secret society where they plan to sent ninjas to kill gates and all microsoft heads.

EDIT: in the past, with dinasour transformers and robots of japan.

some people see it as technology that may not deliver everything it promises.

I own both the XBox 360 and the Wii, and I still think that Project Natal is doomed to be their next "Zune" or (worse yet) the next Microsoft Bob ...

Back in the day, long before E3 2006, I knew that the Wii was going to be a success because when I showed off the trailer to my diverse group of friends there was instant interest from (pretty much) everyone. Over the past little while, I have shown off the Project Natal video to several people and it (certainly) hasn't been nearly as positive as the Wii reactions were. There were positive comments, but most seemed mixed ... One comment stood out and it was (essentially) "That looks cool I hope Nintendo copies in in their next console"

The most drastic difference in reaction between the two timeframes was that there was almost no questions showing interest in buying project Natal. Questions like "When is it comming out?", "How much will it cost?", and "Will it be bundled with the system?" show that a person is starting to consider buying it; and these kinds of questions were absent from people when I showed the Natal video.

This is just my experience, and it certainly doesn't mean that Project Natal has flopped, but I would suggest that people should me much more realistic about sales expectations for it until we know more about it.

How about waiting for it to release... an internet poll isn't exactly the best way to do things.
