Forums - Nintendo - Suikoden Tierkreis flopped in the US. Will we ever get a Suikoden VI?

If they brought the rest over, I'm sure they'll bring the rest over Konami is a very big global company. Not like evil Namco who won't bring over some Tales :(

Seriously, why did we not get Tales of Rebirth?

we didn't get tales of innocence on the DS outside of Japan either, that was just fking stupid since I like that game and had hoped more people could enjoy it.

Looks like it sold on par with the rest of the series considering what it is. I don't see what the fuss is all about.

They have something against 2D Tales :( It's probably because ToD/ToE sold meh over here and SCEA had some stupid no 2D game policy thing. Though I don't know how long that lasted. I think it blocked ToD2 but IDK about ToR.

ToI is full 3D, never made it outside Japan.

I don't think the sells are too bad. You wouldn't expect this to sell on par with the other games in the series anyways.

Well that data does not include US sales.

SCEA's "no 2D" policy was only active during the early-mid PS1 days, and even then, not on every game.

SEGA also had one, if I remember correctly.

It's Konami's fault, they wanted a "new start" from the series, that's why they butched everything and started fresh again, they changed the setting, the characters, so the series could attract new fans. Looks like the plan failed bad (even though the game itself was good)

Now, Konami, go back to the roots, and pick up the wonderful universe you left behind. It's time to know how well the world continues spinning after Suikoden III. I want to see Viki, Jeane, the Star Dragon Sword, more True Runes, Yuber, I want to know if Pesmerga finally found him, I want to meet a new Silverberg, and so on

Also 75% of the characters in Tierkreis are pretty crappy. Seriously you get the coolest character (Nova) near the end of the game. Also there were no big battles.

Well, Suikoden I+II for PSP never got localized for some reason, though there's many possiblities as to why (Sony's porting rules, PSN release plans, etc.).
