They didn't start work on GT5 until 2006 at the earliest. At E3 2005 they presented Gran Turismo Vision, a trailer of what GT could be like on the PS3.

Since the release of GT4 in 2004, Polyphony Digital have been working on and released Tourist Trophy, GT: HD, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and GT PSP.

You can keep repeating your bullsh*t about how Polyphony Digital have been working constantly on GT5 since 2004, but don't expect anyone to believe you.

GT5 has been in the works and was announced in 2004 man. It was first unveiled in 2006, and GT5 Prelude was released on the PS3 after three years. In my last post I actually showed you a timeline of release dates and the times they were actually worked on. Polyphony works on the next installments immediately after the last. It's been like that since 1997. Gran Turismo is still TBD for a reason and Polyphony already admitted that they could've launched the game a long time ago. Don't even start with me, because you've got noting.


They could have announced at the launch of GT3 that GT5 was coming. It's inevitable.

 

 

Yeah, they announced development of GT5 immediately after GT4 launched. Check IGN.com in the PS2 section, in the Gran Turismo 4 news area. They were talking about how they were working on crash damage and stuff. I remember that article from when I was in highschool. LOL :)

Yep they we're test-driving all 600 cars for two years on a vacation in Monaco

I am sure. Turn 10 test-drove all 400 cars they developed and it only took them 2 years, since the last game. It is amazing what they got done in such a short time.

thats because not only did thy have to release a prologue but also develop a full gt game on psp. stop sounding like a broken record!

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

GT PSP was in the works way before GT5. All of this nonsense.It is going to be GT4 graphics with newer cars. WOW!

if this is true we should here about it at lepzig since gt4 sold the best in europe it would make sense to make this announcement, however i wouldnt hold my breath because play.com are genuinley unreliable

Finally, a sensible post. TGS and Lepzig are the shows to wait for to get updates.

Too many great games coming out, I need more $$$$.

MW2, Brutal Legend, Bioshock 2, Assasin's Creed, Halo 3 ODST, Uncharted 2, Forza 3, Batman Arkum Asylum, Dragon Age Origins, L4D2, Splinter Cell Conviction, and now GT5 might be a possibility....This is the best year for gaming guys...uhhhh..unless you just own a Wii..then a Mario remake and a Wii Fit Plus is all you'll get. J/K

play.com has listed GT5 as a holiday 2009 title for a long time. Im not even sure the relase date changed at all... So it could still be a placeholder
