Dear Continuous Players, we set up this service ultimately to provide a fast, efficient and cost effective way to ensure that your experience with PlayStation 3 & PSP was as seamless and hassle free as possible. Unfortunately, some individuals have chosen to abuse this service and as a consequence we feel that we have no option but to suspend Continuous Play and postpone acceptance of new Continuous Play plans until further notice. We will of course honour existing customer's policies and look to amend the existing provision so that it is less vulnerable to exploitation. Sincere apologies

The way it works is you pay 5 Euro/Pound per month (or whatever the price is), and if your PS3/PSP breaks they will replace it.

People were abusing the system by signing up, and then getting their console replace the same week, then getting rid of the service. If they had a problem, they would sign up for another month and repeat.

Essentially it is the same as an extended warranty in the US, except you are paying on a month-by-month basis instead of an upfront $50 for 2 years or whatever.

Really, they should either just axe the program and replace it with an upfront when you buy program, or they should make it so you have to be signed up for 1 full month before you can send it in if they don't want it to be abused. However, with the second method, I would still abuse it as I'd gladly wait 1 month to save over $100. The only effective way to not have it be abused is to go with method 1.




If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
