I have owned every Playstation Console to date so why wouldn't I care about a PS4?    While I may be a 360 supporter, I am not anti PS3 or anti Sony for that matter.  And to be honest you have no fricking clue as to what your talking about.

Who the fuck wants to talk about a console that's coming out 3-8 years? In 2013 this thread will be long dead. You flaming FUD and you know it. Activision dude talked a little bit of trash and you're talkin about "what will Sony do" for a console that doesn't exist and most likely won't exist for another 5 years.

I obviously want to talk about the next Playstation or I wouldn't have said anything.  And just because it isn't something you want to talk about, matters very little to me.  If activision and other 3rd party developers drop support do you really believe the PS3 will be around in 8 years?  It would be lucky to make it 3.  And so yes the question is relevant.

I still predict 13 million PS3s sold and 14 million shipped with a $299 price this year. Especially as the Wii is losing steam.

Sony should tell them okay we will lower the price of the console but unfortunately that will force us to raise the royalty percentages for the largest developers. I bet then they would keep thier mouth shut.

It's easy to say others' predictions are bad, but could you make a breakdown of how much you expect per period? I mean, what kind of holiday and Q1 sales are you expecting for Sony to ship 14 million this year?

Last fiscal year, they sold around 5 million in March-October, 3 million in Nov-Dec and 2 million in Q1.

Im just thinking if they sold 10 million consoles to consumers in last fiscal year (going by VGC numbers rite) a must have price on the console of $299 should increase the sales around 30% for the current fiscal year. Or at least increase the sales by 20% to 12 million sold to consumers, and thus enable 13 mill to be shipped by Sony.
