I'll be to busy playing Conduit,  nuff said.....

whoa dude, calm down. it isnt worth freaking out that much over. just enjoy the game and ignore those who care more about graphics then gameplay.

Ahh damn, I thought you weren't pulling a double sarcasm. I am disappointed. Well, I'm just mad that High Voltage made a lot of bad games and then has the nerve to call out other developers. They should at least prove themselves first before being cocky.

How were they being cocky originally? They merely stated, "Hey, guys. We've developed for the Wii, and we've seen it's capable of a lot more than you guys are giving it credit for. Seriously, take it seriously."

And now they're doing that and putting their money where their mouth is.

Also: Check out their Wiki, they've done a lot more than just licensed works.

i thought the difference between Wii and Ps3 graphics was very small, on my SD tv i thought they look almost the same

but when i you put Ps3 and Wii on HD tv i saw there is a very big difference (except if you put Galaxy or MP3 for example, the difference is smaller)

Wii has great graphics, it's the resolution that makes Wii look so stupid, of course they are not close to Xbox360 or Ps3 but they are respectable, for me

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I can let you all in on a BIG secret...

The *real* reason that games tend to suck graphically on the Wii is...
...
...
...the hardware is actually quite complex & tricky to program, especially with respect to getting the most out the hardware...

Anyone goes around saying the Wii is simple to develop for and underpowered is speaking a load of bull$hit.

...and the reason I know this? Well, I'm slowly diving further into the depths of the Wii architecture/hardware every day now. And its a lot closer to the PS3 in architecture than it is to the 360...

Its *very* different

Actually, that's very simple to explain.

Who manufactures the Wii's CPU? IBM, under the Power architecture.

Who designed/manufactures the Cell processor? IBM, and it's also based on the Power architecture.

Both have very similar design behind their processors (although the PS3's is theoretically far more advanced), so the overall way they work will be rather similar.

I'm not certain if it is true, but before the XBox 360 was released I remember reading that the Power Cores in all three consoles were based on the Power 3 architecture/

Oh, really? I could've sworn the 360's was more "contemporary" PC-based.

Guess I should've done more reading. ;)

Oh well. Point is, there is a similarity between their processors and their structures. I do know the 360 is designed pretty much like a PC in a different case, so coding for it is similar to that of programming on a PC (at least, that's what I've heard). And the PS3 & Wii aren't designed like that, so they naturally feel differently.

I dunno, not entirely sure anymore. =/

HVS is in a pretty much no lose situation currently.

the game WILL sell decently, will it get huge numbers is the question, there is a market for fps games on the wii, the sales of light gun games and the sales of COD:WaW prove this. if the conduit is a quality fps on the wii, and if the online is as fun as people are saying, then i expect this game to - be at least a million seller.

reviews i expect it to hover around the 8 to 85 range overall-COD:WAW is at ~83, if the conduit is better, then i expect slightly higher numbers.

That is untrue. The 360 has custom architecture that has little in common with a PC. The only thing in the 360 that is similar in design to a PC is the GPU and that is also the case for the PS3. The 360 is just like a PC line of thinking isn't unfounded but it has nothing to do with the architecture. It's the development tools that allow PC code to be easily brought over the 360. MS put a lot of time into the 360's development environment. That's the biggest difference between the situation on the 360 and PS3.

I guess next week will be the proof in pudding, right?

Yup.  There's nothing much to really say until then...

Mario Galaxy definitely had bump mapping. As matter of fact, Galaxy did everything Outside devs said the Wii can't lol

I swear RE:UC had bump-mapping on the bosses.  And Twilight Princess had bump-mapping + specular hightlighting on that giant frog in the Lakebed Temple.
