Forums - Nintendo - High Voltage - we're proving that the Wii isn't underpowered

Isn´t it the controls that set The Counduit apart from other Fps games like Halo and
Killzone. It can´t compete with their graphics (it looks really good for a Wii game) but
with it´s customizable controls it will do something that can´t be done on X360 and PS3.

Too bad Killzone and Conduit don't have split screen online play. That's really one of the best things about Halo. Halo 2 on the Xbox even offered that.

yeah it's too bad they didn't have the latest Q3 engine for Conduit because they can do it now with Grinder, ah well.

High Voltage should of said "we're proving that the Wii isn't underpowered when compared to the original xbox" putting a little context to what there stating.

High Voltage claims that they are proving a lot of things.

Let's see if they can prove that all of this self made hype sells their game.

Geez, God ol' mighty!!  I will authoritate knowledge to you "fan boy graphic whores once agin"  "TRUTH"."""GRAPHICS DONT MEAN SQUAT!!!"""  If they did then your POWERFUL home console would have sales like Umm, lets see The NINTENDO DS,  "Bitches!!!  If the games dose great, then GREAT!!  If it flops, Blame yourselves for being HALF ASSED core gamers.  I didnt buy my "HD"Game system to play Disney's "G-force of some 2D King of fighters (relaesed next month for Ps3 and 360)  (WHY?). I'll be to busy playing Conduit,  nuff said.....

Split screen online been done with Call of Duty World at War on Wii.  Yes, Wii can do it to... punchanalla in your shoe.

Ahh damn, I thought you weren't pulling a double sarcasm. I am disappointed. Well, I'm just mad that High Voltage made a lot of bad games and then has the nerve to call out other developers. They should at least prove themselves first before being cocky.

The Conduit is something that HVS has been working on from the ground up, and utilizes a proprietary engine they developed in-house soley for the purpose of getting as much as they can out of the Wii's hardware.

It has nothing to do with the licensed games they churned out previously on tight schedules and tiight budgets, and now that they've been able to prove themselves, you'll notice that their new projects like Gladiator and The Grinder are even more technically impressive than The Conduit, and it doesn't look like they are going back to churning out licensed shovelware anytime soon.

BTW, HVS has made some pretty good original games over the years like Hunter: The Reckoning, which featured 4-player co-op survival horror years before Left 4 Dead was even conceived.  LEGO Racers was also a pretty good Mario Kart clone back on the N64.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
