Know what I love? Unfunny people who copy other threads.

but this one makes the most sense.

After FFXIII was announced for the 360, 3 days later I came back like a little bitch. Damn you Sony.

Briefly during when the PS3's price was first announced? But it's all good, it's like having your brother play an obnoxius prank on you. You love them enough to forgive them and move on.

@Montana, that would be true, except this is a logical counterpart to the similar thread; i.e., it would make sense for it to exist even as it's own thread and not a copy of another. What's so wrong with being inspired by another thread? Know what I love? Bitter people who have to infect threads with their dour attitudes.

Except it's a waste when copycat threads are made. You may think my attitude is negative, but I'm not bitter. I'm just sick of seeing a thread, ignoring it, and then watching a copy of the thread being put up. All I'm saying is that some amount of thought or originality should be put into making a thread. If everyone did that, the forums would improve drastically. Copying other threads is just a waste of time. The original thread could have covered all console makers and we would have had 3 threads in one.

Sorry, but you failed at the first sentence. "Most" gamers were not raised on Sony systems, myself included. (Atari holds that honor for me, and there're at least 30 million more in the Nintendo days.) But when did I give up on Sony? It was way back, during the PS1 days. When games like FF7 started throwing in all these movies instead of game, it started to die. Ironically enough, it also didn't take too long for my first PS1 to follow suit and "die." Thus, the PS1 became the first system I had to replace, and the second one died while still under warranty. The death of the second one is where I gave up. I leeched off of friends' PS2s for the games I wanted to play, and still do not own one myself to this day. (Though I imagine with my attach rate of infinte, Sony would love more customers like me...) I want reliability in a system, and Sony systems just don't do that for me.

never liked sony..I mean I had a PSone (well it was my brother's actually) and it was cool but I felt like it won by accident and the ps2 by lucky..so yeah.

And Nintendo wins by what?  Divine providence?

I was raised on Sony like most gamers are. I gave up on Sony as the primary gaming system. After playing the PS1 and PS2. The game that got me to do it was CoD3 for waggle and finally became a key elementof gaming.  What game made you leave Sony, or any other thing? It seems to be tradition that most gamers leave Sony eventually or mostly ignore them. If u never left them i'm also interested why?  Anyways, keep gaming and end complete fanboyism it has no logic

I dont think I have actually gave up on sony. I have had a Ps1 and still have a Ps2. At the moment it is very doubtfull I will ever buy a Ps3 though. With sony it was never about what games they made themselves that made me want to buy a console. It was all about the third parties. SquareSoft/Capcom are the main two and there has not been any must play for me form 3rd parties this round. A couple that interest me, but not enough.

Haven't yet, probably won't but I never say never and maybe my number 1 console next generation will be the XBox Natal.....which incidentally will probably say it'll sell the least, my number 1 console each generation was the Master System, Genesis, N64, GC, PS3....

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Torillian, it's simply. Sony accidentally provided a better and more varied gaming experience. They also accidentally improved relations with developers and got more support for their system. It was just a great big fluke.

The PS2 generation was the first generation where I didn't own a nintendo console. This gen, I only have enough money for a Wii, which is fine because not a lot of games on the 360 or PS3 appeal to me.

Wii has more 20 million sellers than PS3 has 5 million sellers.
