We probably shouldn't get into this here because it's not a topic that I think is supposed to be discussed on these forums but:

emulation is not illegal (you can make an SNES emulator for instance and make your own games for it) but any rom of a copywrighted material IS illegal (even if you own the original, even for backup purposes only)

this is doubly true for nintendo games because they are protected by special ESA laws that prohibit the creation of roms from their games (even though it is already illegal in the first place under other laws) <-- you will see that even websites that host rom downloads will, more often than not, not have nintendo games like zelda, mario, pokemon, star fox, etc. because Nintendo searches for these and shuts those sites down with lawsuits because it is illegal to have roms of their games in any fashion - for any purpose. Believe me, I have been lightly involved in a lawsuit around this very subject.

Congrats!! Zelda II is the best Zelda ever. You can only claim to be a true hardcore gamer if you've beaten Zelda II.

my qualifier is actually Fire Emblem (as in you aren't hardcore unless you have beat a Fire Emblem game), but I have also played and beat this before (just once though)

Nice! I'm only missing Majora's Mask, but I don't want to use anything else than a N64 controller. After playing Ocarina of Time recently, I can say that the classic controller is just plain bad for many reasons I explained in another thread, and the GameCube controller is just passable.

By the way, when is Nintendo releasing that multiple controller attachment?

Do you own the most recent Zelda? I love Link's Crossbow Training. Apparently, I'm not the only one because it is still one of the best selling games in the world.

I do but I did not include that because I consider it as part of the "Wii" series of games or a spiritual successor to Duck Hunt with Zelda themes, or a spinnoff of the Zelda franchise. I meant like all the main zeldas (not the CDi games or the Wii Zapper game.)

lol, well, I've beaten every US released Fire Emblem, so I'm good I think Zelda II is harder overall though.

It's a little known fact, but these CD-i games actually work on the Wii.  Now, you know.

I beat Zelda II when I was younger. The game was hard back then and insane now. I tried to play it a few years ago and I got owned. Modern games really make you soft.
