Next Gen will be this:
A new Wii HD
Lite models of PS3 and X360 with Natal/Dildo included.
And shall remain like that till ~2014

I think it's stupid to waste the potential of Project Natal by making it a add-on on an existing console. I mean the motion controls and IR are part of the Wii from the beginning and most developpers can't seem to make something worthwhile with them after 2.5 years. That doesn't bode well for a new control method released halfway through a console's lifetime.

What could be the big diffrence is that Microsoft is far and away the better supporting console maker. They go out of their way to help 3rd party teams get their games up and running efficiantly. So instead of keeping things to themselves as Nintendo has a history of doing they share any developments they make or tools they create.

If you're a developper who wants to make a game for the XBox 360 what is more appealing? Making a game with conventional controls that has the potential to sell to more than 30 millions users or make a game that centers on Natal's unique possibilities that you'll sell to a userbase that is non-existing right now.

I sure hope so. Improving the graphics doesn't result in greater sales. The increased cost in developing next gen games will get scary as Ubisoft predicts next gen games will cost $60m. Devs need to just innovate and create new experiences in order to broaden the market.
The delay in the next gen consoles could be a boom for PC games if people are real graphics whores.
Before I switched to Vista I called MS and asked them if Windows 7 would be coming out soon. They told me it would be years from now. That was in February and Windows 7 is coming out this September.
For those of you living in capitalist countries you should understand something: companies lie. Particularly about anything which could possibly slow the sales of the current product they have on the market.
No, Microsoft would say this: "Yes we're coming out with a new console next year so those of you thinking of buying a 360 don't do it! A new better console is on the way!"
Think about it for just two seconds and you may come to the conclusion that this statement doesn't mean jack.

Windows 7 beta was released in January and set to expire in August about 4 weeks before Windows 7 was released. Also, the 360 was announced a year before it was released.
It's a new "console" as much as "360 Elite" was, or "60gig PS3", or "PS2 Slim"... 720 won't hit for another couple years.
