Forums - Gaming - PS3 Ghostbusters is NOT 75% of the Xbox resolution!!!!!!!!!

The PS3 version of this game is an epic failure. I know people will point to the difficulty of programming on the PS3, but this is just completely unacceptable. Most other multiplatform games are very similar in performance. The fact that they would even release the PS3 version at this resolution is beyond belief. I hope Sony can get a refund on their exclusivity deal in Europe.

Well I figured this would happen. When I first saw the specs of the PS3, I thought 256MB main memory would be a limiting factor someday even though the overhead for the OS than a typical windows OS. Sony should have ponied up to 512MB.

You find the resolution that friggin important?  You have not played the game, but because of the resolution you will not even give it a chance.  What happened to liking a game for gameplay?

Funny you should say that--I read once that Microsoft was originally only going to have 256MB of RAM in the 360, but then Epic showed them what Gears could look like with 512MB and they jumped on it

They're saying that you should decrease the resolution of the 360 version screenshots for a fair comparison of the textures.


So if I lowered the resolution of the 360 version, I'm guessing the graphics would look much worse......

No, I find the disparity between the 2 versions to be a problem.  If you are going to release a multiplatform game, you should release the same game on both platforms.  Other developers are able to do it, why can't Terminal Reality.  To be honest, neither version are really offering much in terms of graphics.  

Obviously gameplay is important, but poor graphics are part of gameplay.  From what I've seen of the PS3 version, it is blurry as hell and that will ruin the gameplay for me.

It's only during battles to maintain 60fps. Normally its 720P I believe.

Really?  Explain Uncharted, MGS4, Killzone 2, GT5P, etc

this is pathetic

I am not going to support developers like these, especially when there is PROOF that developers can do fabulous graphics on PS3

Ghostbusters looks neither technically fantastic, nor graphic heavy

I really don't know where the problem is for them
