Completely irrelevant to best lineup of E3 2009 and all matter of opinion anyway.

you know it was Best Lineup and not Best E3 Lineup so. for me a good line-up is one with many games from various genres and i can't call ps3 line-up a great one. 2009 looks to me bad compared to all the other consoles and handhelds - if we add 2010 games it looks good but not great cause then we have to add 2010 lineup to all the other systems. so while 2009-2010 is good line-up it's definitely not the best one.

I'm sorry, but that is utter bullshit.

This thread and that video are purely about which device showed the best software at the E3 show in Game Trailers opinion. And that is it.

Nothing about overall lineups for either year, JUST WHAT WAS SHOWN AT E3

well if we're looking only by what was shown on the main E3 conferences then it was the best line-up, but looking at what was on the E3 overall i wouldn't call it the best one - still too many well know titles. you know, when i watch e3 i always wait for those OMFG announcements when they are showing something we didn't know yet or wasn't shown before. sony had good line-up of games for ps3 during their own conference but i give credit to psp - it had better announcements after all. so if we had to chose only by conferences it would be more like:

1)psp

2)360

3)ps3 close to 360

4)wii close to ps3

5)ds

ps3 would be higher if at least one of 2010 games would be released in 2009.

@waron
Now that I agree with.
Except I'd put DS a little higher.
Scribblenaughts (or however the f it's spelled) looked pretty awesome imo.

I don't think scribblenauts was actually in Nintendo's presentation...I don't remember though. Golden Sun, Mario and Luigi and Legend of Zelda were the main ones from the conference or at least mentioned in passing.

nah it wasn't on nintendo conference and thanks to Desperate Housewives or whatever that game was and that Imagine kind of game i just couldn't put ds higher on that list.

damn I could've sworn scribblenauts was at the show...
@waron
oh well, then I agree with your list as is.

WOW!!!! gratz to ps3!!!!

The Nintendo DS is definitely an unsung hero. It has a great lineup every year, and somehow it keeps getting better. Hopefully SE and Level 5 can get Dragon Quest IX out here for the holidays.

My biggest surprise by far was the PSP. It's going to have three awesome looking Final Fantasy games (I still haven't even tried crisis core-- if only I had friends with PSPs), a kingdom hearts, a parasite eve, Metal Gear, LBP, Resident Evil, Fat Princess, Lunar: Silver Star Remake, Monster Hunter, that driving game with the nice graphics... and that's probably still less than half of the interesting games announced for it. Gonna have to buy one... I'm going to end up owning every system pretty soon.

But I'd say the PS3 still has the most exciting lineup of games on the horizon, particularly for those who like variety. Some of the best and most unique action games, platformers, JRPGs, a shooter, a fairly unique game like Heavy Rain, a racing game I've heard is good, by far the greatest year for PSN, a bunch of MMOs, and of course, my personal Game Of The Forever (though I stole that phrase from someone else) The Last Guardian.

What they don't talk about in the video is what's actually coming out by holiday 2009. When it comes to that, I don't think the PS3 stands out anymore, now that games like GoW, Heavy Rain, and White Knight Chronicles have all been pushed to early 2010. For the end of 2009, the PS3 may still be competitive with the 360 and Wii (Uncharted 2 is probably at the top of my list after Dragon Age) but I definitely don't think it outright beats them.

I would have to agree. I didn't see one 360 exclusive that I thought was capable of knocking people's socks off like The Last Guardian.

It is not because PS3 win the others suck. For my part the xbox 360 or PC could have won it and I wouldn't felt they were wrong. It is hard to choose but if you are an Uncharted/GOW fan then the choice is probably easier.

I completely agree. Uncharted 2 stole the show imo.

Waron, back and immediately looking for another ban?
