And they both failed... just like Blu-Ray will, Buwahahahahahahaha.

| cebrian said: But ypou al know nintendo invented motion controls in the nes era, anybody remember the power glove? Besides Nintendo pioneered in motion control, and controlling motion too, ROB was controlled in real life by your actions on the controller... |
Nintendo didn't create power glove. It was created and designed completely by Mattel and Pax. Nintendo had nothing to do with it except it was made for NES.

So true.
lol guys saying it doesn't matter who did it first. Try to enter the news article where they're saying they've been working on it since the eye toy. Prepare to be attacked by wii boys (lol)
Anyways that first video is pretty interesting. I hope they have a mode like this for their sports game XD

Tell me where these things came from: D-Pad, Shoulder buttons, Analog Triggers, Diamond set-up for the four face buttons(SNES in case you were wondering), rumble, analog stick.. They're all mainstays of the Sony Playstation Controller and they're all copied from previous efforts. Even the new Playstation Motion is a rip off of the Wii Remote as it just reverses the light source and camera. This generation the major new innovations have been: - split controller, each being motion sensitive - controller speaker - IR pointer And now the others follow once again. Although Microsoft seem to be innovating, Sony are copying almost directly. No matter how long they've been working on this, it's just going to be seen a a Wii ripoff, they aren't bringing anything new to the table at all |
Most of those things were standard before Sony even put out a console. You can't blame a company for not innovating a standard before it was even in the industry. Sony was the first console maker to produce a controller that fit into your palm instead of it just being some flat object you hold. Now every controller is made to fit into your palms.

Playstation Eye is a definitely a lot better then the Eye Toy from what I recall. The Playstation Eye has a better lighting adjustment on it (or more to the point there is a light adjustment). It's has 4 times the resolution and 2 times the frame rate. Twice the lighting sensitivity. It also has a microphone.
|
It has a 4 point microphone with voice recognition. It has facial recognition and is capable of headtracking.
