Sony copies Nintendo in every way imaginable and gets all the credit from Sony fanboys who salivate for Sony's former dominance. They can't moneyhat Nintendo to death and out perform them with Microsoft standing in their way.

Yeah, but Sony did do a lot with motion first with their Eye Toy. Only Wii turned it into a controller and did a better job with it. But see the guys were working on the motion controller back in 2005 or 06. I'm not saying they didn't get the idea from somewhere but that's pretty far back.

The eyetoy was a broken product. My friend had it, but it was such a piece of shit that we immediately stopped using it. When got a Wii, we started playing again.

Why was it a piece of shit? Was it the lack of good software/games, or the eye toy itself? Is there 2 generations of the eye toy?

Unless I'm mistaken, there's the Eye Toy (PS2) and the PSEye (PS3).

How are the 2 different? Is the PSEye a huge improvement in terms of motion tracking than the Eye Toy?

False. Motion control was already out on the PC over a decade ago. The Sidewinder Freestyle Pro. Does the design remind anyone else of something?

Pssh. How long have you been on VGChartz? you know that PC gaming doesn't count unless ssj or shio are in the thread!

Ironically my mind shifted to the N64 controller only instead of the scroll, it had the analog stick. lol Of course I know it looks like the Ps3 prototype. lol.

Ah right. I forgot about that particular stipulation. I apologize.

I can sort of see how your mind went to the N64 trident, but yeah the boomerang was in my mind when I wrote that, lol.

I think the boomerang was awesome i would have bought it. Just think when you get mad and throw it, it will come back to you lol

I would have liked to try it, and see how it was for myself, but I don't know if it would have been that good. Looking at it, it seems my hands would slide down all the time. But hey, at least there coulda been a motion controlled Australian outback game, with a boomerang, right? And isn't that what we all want?

Hrm, I wouldn't go so far as to say the Wiimote has a lot in common with the Eye toy, just because they're both motion control. The way they work is entirely different, most people using the Wii probably don't even know that Wiimotes have IR cameras in them. Heck, even the IR pointer isn't the main thing drawing people in, it's the accelerometers, or the "waggle."

Really, just take a look at the Wiimote. The thing doesn't really look like it was "Eye toy inspired" at all.

Yeah, PSEye had more of an improvement than the Eye toy in more than just motion tracking. I don't know them i just remember hearing about it. Maybe someone else knows more.

Sony has to make that game now lol. Maybe with the new motion contorls

But they may have had a grip on the back of it. I wonder how the R2 and L2 buttons looked. I bet it would be weird.

But ypou al know nintendo invented motion controls in the nes era, anybody remember the power glove? Besides Nintendo pioneered in motion control, and controlling motion too, ROB was controlled in real life by your actions on the controller...

Booooooooo go away lol i kid i kid.

But we could still talk about the camera motion stuff. Nintendo didn't do that. PC may have tried it. Sony did it but marketed it bad. Now MS is trying it with Natal (right that's how you spell it?) which they have to market it well. I think Natal could be good. I just think Sony should stop sitting on they asses lol

Power glove anyone :P

and now the Wii power glove :P

There's been plenty of tries at motion controls, just Nintendo was the first to make it popular which is most likely due to the to the design, marketing right, and games that were shown off.

MaxwellGT2000 - "Does the amount of times you beat it count towards how hardcore you are?"

Wii Friend Code - 5882 9717 7391 0918 (PM me if you add me), PSN - MaxwellGT2000, XBL - BlkKniteCecil, MaxwellGT2000

poor sony something else that didn't go there way

Well, Sony did create Betamax first... and the mini disc too... so um, yeah, might as well say they did everything first.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
