Forums - Sony - Sony did everything first

It seems like Sony does everything first? Are you kidding?

Tell me where these things came from: D-Pad, Shoulder buttons, Analog Triggers, Diamond set-up for the four face buttons(SNES in case you were wondering), rumble, analog stick..

They're all mainstays of the Sony Playstation Controller and they're all copied from previous efforts. Even the new Playstation Motion is a rip off of the Wii Remote as it just reverses the light source and camera. This generation the major new innovations have been:

- split controller, each being motion sensitive
- controller speaker
- IR pointer

And now the others follow once again. Although Microsoft seem to be innovating, Sony are copying almost directly. No matter how long they've been working on this, it's just going to be seen a a Wii ripoff, they aren't bringing anything new to the table at all

....wow..

you sure love ninty so much that you ignored atari

I never expressly mentioned Nintendo did all that ;) apart from mentioning SNES in particular, I just said it all came before Sony put it in their controllers

you are wrong on the first one, nintendo did it first on the NES

lol. International Track & Field? You might as well put down Dance Dance Revolution as a workout routine as well.

But seriously, I think it's awesome. I knew that Kinetic did exist but I could never remember it. For some reason I thought it was made by EA. It's also nice to know that Sony had been working on the idea for a while. I think it might be a lot of fun to play against someone in the magic game....yes...I'm a geek.

eh.. well the OP said "An exercise game" , didn't mention any camera :-p

Ooo, ooo, let me play too.

Sony created the internet, the automobile, and fire.

And Sony said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

And Sony saw the light, and it was good.

btw anyone had this game before? :-p

I don't know if I still have it, must by laying around somewhere. But what I remember is the response time isn't great.

FTW!!!!

I love how the OP says Sony does everything first, and then cites only two examples...which are both something that Sony copied.

Past Avatar picture!!!
