^that was the point of crackdown :) it was like GTAIV on steroids its alot of fun to climb buildings and jump 20+ feet in the air.

Back to origional topic: i dont care who makes it as long as its really fun to play

lol. touche.

I dunno. I guess I just didn't get far enough in the game. Are there projectiles besides guns? Because if there are then I might have to give the game another shot.

Lol yes.  You could pick up pretty much anything and throw it, including barrels, cinder blocks, people, cars, etc.

Ok. Now I definitely have to try it again. I think I might have concentrated too much on making me jump high.

Don't forget to creat massive explosions by piling as many cars as you can in one area and chucking a grenade into the pile. Some of the youtube videos of Crackdown exlposions were INSANE. Fun to watch though.

I can understand him being disappointed that Real Time Worlds isn't doing the game but he stated in the past that they were too busy with APB to work on Crackdown 2. I don't understand him being miffed at the game being developed by Ruffian Games. They are comprised of members of the original Crackdown team. If MS would have waited on RTW to finish APB, Crackdown 2 would most likely be a 2012 game or possibly a X-box 720 launch title.

Possibly the Ruffian guys left on bad terms. Also, RTW seems to resent there being another studio starting up in Dundee. And they're kicking themselves for letting Crackdown 2 slip away.

Why couldn't RTW just put APB on hold for a bit or hire more people to work on Crackdown 2. This would have been guaranteed money from Microsoft. Its kind of their fault for not adapting their company and they ended up losing the contract plus multiple employees.

That's what I was thinking. I sorry but how many people are truly interested in APB?......Anyone?

I was...back when I thought it was gonna come out in 2008. Now I just want my Crackdown 2. RTW missed an opportunity to make a better sequel...the original team got tired of waiting formed then own studio and now RTW ( or just david) is pissed. Sucks to be a sore sport huh?

Well, they're expanding now. Great timing!

Microsoft shouldn't piss of the studios that like them

I wonder if Microsoft intends to aquire Ruffian if the do well with Crackdown 2? It makes sense in a way because they seem to already have a couple of good studios in the U.K already with Lionhead and Rare and that means Peter Molyneux will be able to look after all three as a kind of prophet/messiah!

Tease.

Dunno about that cuz then we get alot of great games with a lot of failed promises....

First. Second, u obiviously dont know what you're talking about.

@bigdom

i didn't mean it like that. microsoft usually treat studios well. but i have been listening to this guy saying that he would like to do the sequel, would be hurt if they gave it to another studio, etc. I am kind of sad that they gave it to a different dev

Yea...but he's been unsure when they gonna do it....it's been 3 years!!! After DNF I don't think fans of any game gonna wait more than 2 years for a sequel to get started. And he acted like it wasnt a big deal. Now the people who worked on the first game are working on this I see no reason for him to be pissed.
