Valkyria Chronicles has lived the ultimate underdog tale.  After somewhat subdued sales in the US, the title has sprung back to life over the course of the past month.  Sales surged 400% in the wake of the release of 3 DLC packages and a temporary price cut.

It seems like the little engine that could isn't done chugging yet!  New DLC has been announced for Valkyria Chronicles in the latest issue of Famitsu.  Details are still sketchy, but the DLC is called 'Battle Challenge'!  Is an online competitive multiplayer coming to the game?  Seems likely!

We've contacted Sega's US branch for confirmation of a US release as well.

I've always said that this game needed a multiplayer mode. Hopefully this is it!!!

If it really is competitive multiplayer they would need to change around the system a little bit and only allow each character one turn per over all turn. Otherwise using one character over and over again is too powerful and the person who gets to go first will most likely win.
