Honestly, who cares? You are talking about one game vs. a slew that bailed to the Xbox way of life. Ok, MS couldn't snag that game and honestly, the game you mention is not worth the added cost, IMHO. Every other 3rd party is also available on the 360 at a much, much cheaper price.

Show me anything now where Xbox fanz are still begging for an old PS3 game.

It's a mute point now anyhow. The 360 is getting the next Metal Gear and the PS3 is not getting a slew of 3rd party titles, including Mass Effect and the extra episodes for GTA.

I think the fact that MGS: Rising is having a new engine built from scratch for it suggests that in fact, no, MGS4 wouldn't work on the 360.

There's no reason to build a whole new engine when you could just evolve the current one - most likely the MGS4 engine just doesn't work (very well?) for the 360, hence the need for a new engine for this multiplatform game.

The fact that MGS: Rising will have better graphics is basically meaningless, as we already know that the 360 is capable of better graphics (see: Gears 2).

The MGS4 engine is just very heavily optimised for the PS3 (just as Kojima always said) even if it's not the best engine around.

I'm glad PS3 still has MGS4 as a exclusive, what has MS lost in terms of third party exclusives? Not much outside of MGS4.

I look forward to MGS:Rising.

I find this hard to believe, given that MGS: Rising probably won't be out until 2011 at the earliest. MGS5, or MGS:R2, or whatever will come afterwards, will almost certainly be on the next generation of consoles.

seriously though, the xbox didn't need metal gear.. but it's funny. Not as funny as final fantasy XIII being multi though. Not nearly.

What third party exclusives does the xbox have left anyway? I know there has to be at least one.
