Okay it's supposedly due in Spring 2010, but what packages will there be and what will it cost?

I reckon we will see full kits (Playstation Eye, Motion Controller & Software/Game), Motion Controller and Software/Game kits and just the Motion Controller.  Obviously we are not sure if the Motion Controller will come with only one wand or whether it will be 2 controllers similar to what the Wii has.

In the UK, the Playstation Eye alone costs around £25 and in the US $40, so I think we should realistically see the kits I've described above at the approximate costings.

Full Kit (Eye, Controller & Game) - £60-£70 ($85-$100)

Controller & Game Kit (Controller & Game) - £45-£55 ($60-$75)

Controller Kit (Controller Only) - £35/£40 ($50-$60)

Doesn't the technology require the camera to track the wands? I thought that was the major point of the colored ball at the end, so that it could be tracked by the camera.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but it just seemed like for a majority of the motion sensing it would require the camera.

Yes. You NEED to have the PlayStation Eye to use the Sixense controllers. It's just like the Wii Remote and the sensor bar.

My guess is that Sony will release two versions, one bundled with the PSEye and one without.

The PSEye currently retails for $39.99 and I imagine that Sony would want to price the bundles competatively with the Wii Remote/Wii Play bundle. For that I believe that Sony will have the PSEye Bundle between $60 and have the bundle without the PSEye be $40.

PS EYE tracks the motion. Without it the controllers would be nothing more than Wii-mote shaped Sixaxis's.

As far as price and packaging. Lets just hope they don't skrew things up.

The bigger question is what games will be out?
