Forums - Nintendo - Is anybody else excited about Spirit Tracks?

I take it everyone hated it because of the single dungeon. That is the only complaint I've ever heard about the game.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Well, if they do away with that stylus dominated control, we can talk.

Phantom Hourglass is my least favourite 3D Nintendo developed Zelda, and I can't see how this game can be any better than that, so no.

Pretty much this. Nintendo has its work cut out if it wants me to buy Spirit Tracks. Here's hoping they've got something new.

Nah, although that's the prime offender. I also disliked the control scheme, really disliked the overworld, and just generally felt that the game was less fun than others. *shrug*

Haha I loved that one dungeon, I loved the returning aspect of it.

I liked the idea of the Temple of the Ocean King, and I thought it was cool. I was actually extremely surprised by the amount of extra content (sidequests) in the game, as well as the dungeons and.. just everything overall. I think it's mainly because I went into the game with no expectations whatsoever.

That's what I plan on doing with Spirit Tracks as well.

Why, of course I am! Though, in retrospect, PH could have been more 'epic'. That's why I was hoping for a continuous overworld (without a sea or drive-through-areas), but I guess the a DS game just can't handle that much content. Still, it's one of my top 3 games I'm looking forward to.

Currently playing: NSMB (Wii)

Waiting for: Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii), The Last Story (Wii), Golden Sun (DS), Portal 2 (Wii? or OSX), Metroid: Other M (Wii),
... and of course Zelda (Wii)

meh...not really, i liked PH but not as much as any other 3d zelda.

My GF will be happy about playing it - she is the one who finished PH. And Minish Cap. And ALttP on GBA.

I really didn't like PH and its annoying temple that was the temple of the Ocean King ; I don't like to be hastened in a Zelda game. On the other side, the dungeons were too easy.

?????
What's with all the Phantom Hourglass hate? Did you all suck at stylus controls? Did you not see the shortcuts and checkpoint in the Ocean King Temple? Did your boat sink one too many times?
I thoughy it was one of the best Zeldas I've played, and Spirit Tracks looks to be an improvement. Train, pupet at your commands, and even creepier enemies.
All of you are crazy. :/
