Microsoft said they were wrapping up NA and now focusing on EU, with Sony still wobbling in EU by making the same stupid mistakes to piss off folks in EU, don't count out MS yet.

by the way, the PS3 isn't catching up. Its selling about 3K less a week.
The 360 has a lead of 320K in Europe.

Done and done.

It was 100,000's when I first made it but I didn't like that and just never changed that. :-p
Sorry guys, I meant "Others."

@ Twesterm
No need to put such a huge emphasis on time. If the PS3 gets a $100 cut say in September, and the 360 doesn't.......then the PS3 could outsell the 360 by a ton, greatly reducing those times. Those calculations are useless as they ignore software boosts and holiday changes.
@twesterm
remember 2008 holidays & how much xbox 360 outsold PS3 by
look how much its outselling PS3 by now
All your "dates" can get skewed by huge sales in 1 holiday
Look at one of kownicki's threads about "gap differences"
you'll see a huge difference int he holiday bit & literally almost a flat line now
| twesterm said: Hooray for yet another chance to bring out troll.xls! (and I'm using last weeks numbers by the way, don't feel like putting in this weeks yet) Here's the time it will take for the PS3 to catch up to the 360 assuming it starts outselling it tomorrow.
If the PS3 is to catch the 360 in others in lets say three years, it will have to outsell the 360 by 31k per week every week for the next three years. It can be done but will it really matter in 2012/13? |
Uhm, weird math? By the charts I see that the 360 has about 1.3M over the PS3 in Others.
If we consider three years then 1.3M/156 weeks=8.3K sales per week the PS3 needs to outsell the 360.
Or in other words, by outselling the 360 by 31k per week, won't that mean that the gap would be closed in about 1.3M/31k=42 weeks?
