I gave vincent the poison stuff, I just give htem the materia that seems best suited for the character, cloud lightning, Cid ice, Vincent poison, Barret Earth, Tifa lightning as well, etc..

Is there any way I could add the status effect Paralysis to my weapons with the added effect materia?

ive nearly got my limit break to LV3 i got climhazzard faster then i though

I'm using a strategy guide so I'm cheating a little bit. :D

[1] But I'm in Wutai and the last time I played, I lost to the final boss of that 5-story boss-fight arena place. I never level up Yuffie and she barely has 1000 HP and one of his attacks does around 1000 damage--with barrier--so I didn't last long.

[2] I use Cloud[I forgot that you can't switch cloud out. :( ], Vincent, and Red XIII. I want my party to be Cid, Vincent, and Red XIII, but that's impossible.

[3] For cloud, my limit break is at level 2 I think. Vincent level 1. And Red XIII is level 3.

[4] I'm a player. I'm dating both. :D

Edit: My party is all around level 35.

Well, right now i'm about level 63 Cloud, 61 Barret, 63 Yuffie, going to the Underwater reactor to get the Red huge materia

I have already got level 4 limit break for every member of my team, but i've put them on sadness state, so i can't abuse Omnislash, or else the game gets broken. Also sadness state shields about 31% of total damage caused from physical and non-elemental attacks ;).

Going to start Chocobo Breeding soon, sold 4 Mastered All materia for about 5.600.000 Gil, so money is taken care of for the rest of the game xD

Also, to add status effect paralysis to your weapon, you have to get Hades summon materia first, that works like a Bad Breath (adds sleepel/toad/Poison/Slow-Numb/Paralysis/Confu) to your attack. You can use Added Effect - Time if you have a two/three star Time materia, slow and stop work in almost every enemy, and it will do you wonders in the later bosses and in the optional Weapons. You can use the item Dazers instead if you want a quick paralysis, you can steal them from the Razor Weed enemies in the Wutai area, or from the Boundfat enemies in the City of Ancients area.

Damn if this thread was made a couple months ago I'd be all over it, but I just beat it so I'm not very interested in playing it again, even though it's such a masterpiece of a game, I just don't have 40 hours to kill :(
