This site is out of control.  Every page you hit also connects to 3+ other sites in the background.  Many of them are known malware and spyware sites.  So my question is WHY?  There are many other ways to raise money with resorting to porn site tactics.  Not only that but it really hurts the user experience.  The site runs slower when you connect to 3 spyware sites with every link you click.  I am sure this thread will be quickly locked but vgchartz - you are better then this.  You dont even have to click on the many banner ads, it does all this in the background.

To frequent users of this site - hope you have up to date spyware and virus protection.  Its no joke or rumor, you will need protection to surf around on vgchartz.com.  I have had to remove spyware more then once that was installed from this site.  It frequently locks up my browser as it tries to connect to every shyster out there.

More users need to speak up, our favorite video game website shouldnt behave like a porn site!!!!!!

This site has placeholders for ads you know; images and flash files are not stored on the vgchartz server, thus they are loaded from external sites. Don't worry, you're quite safe here.

oh it happens in firefox. its hidden behind the scenes. it doesnt give you pop ups or any messages but it most definately is generating a hit on the other websites.I can hardly browse this site on my desktop because of all the malware warnings mcafee generates. You are kidding yourself if you think using firefox prevents this. and even if it did, it doesnt change the fact that vgchartz is using the same tactics and linking to the same sites are scummy porn sites.

its not linking to porn, but linking to spyware/malware sites - just like many porn sites do. this is not something an ad you see, it just generates hits for other websites - many of which are nothing but bad news.

This website isn't ran or coded by professionals. Expect lots of holes. The abysmal quality of the writing in nearly every news article and the onslaught of dangerous advertisements speaks for itself.

right, its not done by pro's and they are making deals with pro malware spreaders. but not being a pro isn't an excuse, just keep it simple and know what you are getting into with these advertisers.
