The problem is, there are no good sexgames. I can't think of a single one outside of a Larry-style point and click adventure. Or were it's forced in between action scenes. Think "uncharted two" where you have to work your girlfriend using quick-time events?

This is one of my biggest bugbears regarding gaming. I'm an adult, and I have adult tastes. Sure, I like to bouce around as Mario sometimes, or play no-brain actioners like Killzone or Dead Space, but there are only a portion of my tastes. Mass Effect tried to be adult about sex, and look what happened to it (and look at the pathetically poor attempt at on-screen sex that game deployed). The gaming industry is far behind the film industry, in this regard, and it's a somewhat sad state of affairs.

Let's be clear here, in words that are blunt and to the point: people fuck. A lot. I mean, an awful lot. And those that don't fuck often tend to masterbate. A lot. I mean, an awful lot. Why do people get their knickers in such a twist about something we all do? Sure, all (most) games don't need to tackle this, just like all movies don't need to tackle this, but some should, and far more should than currently do. Really, is it any surprise that gaming is seen as a kid's pursuit by many? It's so devoid of certain mature themes that one could almost believe none of us, y'know, actually have sex, and those that do are surely deviant, right?

Take American Pie as a film. It made millions and millions, all based around the single conceit of Jason Biggs sticking his penis in a pie. At its heart, it's a movie about 4 kids trying to lose their virginity. Could you ever imagine a game tackling the same subject? Personally, I can, but it would probably be so poorly implemented that we'd all cringe -- but if it was done right, they'd be onto a true winner. Honestly, the teen market is obsessed with this stuff (in fact, most markets are, but we all like to pretend it's only the teen market that really watches this stuff).

However, for my tastes, an adult game tackling adult themes is more up my street (just less likely to make as much money as a well-made teenage, sex-comedy game, bringing to gaming what Porky's brought to movies). So far, the only game I can see on the horizon that looks to be doing this (full nudity, sex, profanity, murder, etc) is Heavy Rain, but I'm afraid it's all alone in an over-muscled and over-cartooned industry aimed at young teenagers, not the adults that buy a significant proportion of the games produced. But we need games like this to break down the bizarre taboos concerning gaming and sex. The more the merrier, I say. If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Oh, and as for porn games: well, I could care less. But, again, I think a well-made game could sell very well indeed, it's just that no one makes such a product because, y'know, gaming's for kids.

You just used "interesting story" and "porn" in the same sentence. I thought porn always implied "cheezy story"

@OP - They can, but it will be rated Adult Only, as should be. The issue is, consoles, no matter how hardcore, do not want to alienate the gamer family. Putting AO titles on will prevent the system from being family friendly. On the PC, the options are limitless.

while most of them are simple, many of them have deeper story(well as deep as porn game can be) - sadly most of them will remain as a pc games that will never be released outside japan(the best hentai games usually are released on consoles without h-scenes but remain as etchi games).
