wow you guys really are ignoring Arc Rise Fantasia for some reason >.>;;; that's just fked up lol. I literally had 100 hours before I finally beat it, and that's without completing everything ingame ^^;.

It's not out in the West yet. Why would we count something we can't even play yet? Not to mention spending a bunch of time in a JRPG doesn't mean it is the amazing work that MM is pining for.

think about it, if it was bad, then how can I put that many hours into the game? =) though that was more in response to g-value's list of games, he did say next year but technically, some comes out for me this year on that list ^^;; I think the big problem these days with JRPGs are the audiences tbh, they serve a nostalgic value to JP gamers a lot while not so much to the western audiences in general. kinda like how western people don't get tired of the shakespear or the star wars formulas.
This year we will be getting:
Magna Carta 2
Arc Rise Fantasia
Fragile
Which one of these game do you think will actually be excellent jrpgs? I'm leaning towards Magna Carta 2.

End of Eternity is coming out next year in the West. And I think WKC is going to provide EXCELLENT gameplay at the least. Its what Level 5 is known for.

I already beat Arc Rise Fantasia lol, I can already tell you that it's good, if FF13 comes out at the end of the year in Japan, I'll either import it or pass by to pick it up, same with Tales of Graces =). Magna Carta does have some hot women though..... hmmm.... too bad anime chars don't turn me on.

Arc Rise looks to be the best of the three. Fragile has an excellent, unparalelled art direction but I've seen complaints about the gameplay. Still looks to be a good game and I'll give it a go without hesitation. MC2, I admit I haven't played the first, but everything I've read about it has been extremely negative, so it has to seemingly improve a lot to overcome that. Plus, ARF and Fragile have Japanese voice acting (Fragile I'm sure, ARF I think I read it somewhere, correct me if I'm wrong), and we haven't seen confirmation of it for MC2 and the English VA of the trailer sucked bad, that's another minus for MC2
