How big was the team that worked on the first one? I think one could view the relative sizes of the two teams as a measure of the confidence EA has in the franchise's potential.
I still haven't bought the first one, but it is going to be my next purchase as soon as my class ends for this term. I've played the demo numerous times and enjoyed it - I really like the feel of the world.
The first game felt a little rushed. If they fix up some of the problems the original had, this could be a very interesting game.
