It's just another bland and boring sandbox game that offers no real substance. Just like every other Sandbox game, the story lacks any real depth. I don't see why people become so amazed with free roaming. You hear the argument, "But you can blow up anything!" Wow, that's what I want to do in a game, blow up a mail box. That's a federal offense anyways! Also the graphics aren't that impressive to me, I think that other sandbox game looks a lot better, whatsamacallit... not important I guess.

1) I guess you've played it and you've went through the story?

2) Perhaps people like being able to explore a city?

3) I really don't see why graphics are so imporant....

Some people just wanna enjoy a game... It sounds to me like you're putting down the game simply because of it's genre. If so then, fine. I have no interest in music games. But you should walk into a thread about the game just to put it down because you don't like it's genre... especially if you haven't even beaten the game... or played it much.... Which is a question that I asked and you still haven't answered...

Thank you for establishing you don't like sandbox games.

Check out the Zero Punctuation review of the game, to see why people like it, and rate it highly.  As someone who liked Crackdown, I give inFAMOUS a thumbs up.

Are you seriously the type of person that'll play through a game you just can't enjoy one bit? If so, I feel sorry for you. The graphics statement is in response to most ppl thinking it is some stunning achievement. NOTHING on console is a stunning achievement nor should it ever be seen as such, and yes that includes RE5 and Killzone 2. Art Design is one thing, but graphics overall, no. You bring up music games, I can understand why ppl don't like it, most ppl can't grasp a simple concept of 'do this on a beat.' It's really rather embarrasing that most ppl can't even do hard on Rock Band or any other music game in general. I guess to me a Sandbox game just feels like a poorly built MMO with absolutely no true purpose but to waste time. I'll at least say this, prototype looks MUCH better and much more fun than Infamous, I have yet to play that one though so I'll hold my final judgement. I guess I don't see the appeal in mowing down an officer of the law in GTA4, shocking a homeless vet in Infamous, or having a birthday party with a robot .THe only appealing aspect of any of these games is in GTA4, and thats bangin a hooka.

The Halo francise is the most overrated bland game to ever hit the console market. It provides a bad name to all FPS that even showed effort at creating an original entertaining plot.

I probably have more ps3 games than you :/

great for inFAMOUS. Sales came in MUCH better than expected. 176,000 for america first week in may is GREAT, especially for new IP. I hope VGchartz updates sales...that kinda annoys me that they don't because they're wrong.

should have great legs for June with Uncharted 2 beta and I'm guessing we'll see a sequel for 2011 from suckerpunch. Great game. I hope sly 4 is made too to give that series a proper ending

Currently Playing: God of War Collection

So, to summarise:

1) inFamous sucks because I hate Sandbox games and nobody should like Sandbox games because I am always right and because they suck.

Some people (like me) like them. Shocking, I know.

2) Anyone who can't play Rock Band on hard is a failure.

I personally despise all rhythm games, but that is just me. I'm not saying everybody should, but I don't classify a game where you press five different buttons that appear on screen as a quality game.

3) All graphics on consoles suck.

I'm not even going to bother replying to this.

4) I liked GTA4 because it had sex in it.

So basically, you like pressing buttons that appear on screen that vaguely correspond to the music being played, and taking a woman back to your apartment, banging her, then killing her, but you don't like running around a city, zapping things. Fair enough. I am the opposite.

Honestly, if you hate the genre, why do you even bother? I hate JRPGs, but I don't go around trolling and saying that ToV sucks without ever playing it...

Again, lack of reading comprehension overtakes another poster. You know what making assumptions does to you right?

Screw this conversation... feels pointless... I'll leave it at this:

If you haven't played the game or dislike it simply because of it's genre, don't go in a thread about the game just to derail it... Your pretty much just trolling by doing so...

I made no assumptions. You said that inFamous was a boring, generic sandbox game, and you didn't like sandbox games, because they were MMOs without the multiplayer. If you hate the genre, you'll hate the game- CoD4 may be brilliant, but it's not going to make somebody who has hated FPS all their life suddenly love them.

You said you couldn't believe some people couldn't play Rock Band/Guitar Hero on hard. Honestly, most people don't care. GH and RB are very much classified as casual games by most (including myself). That doesn't mean that they're bad, they just don't appeal to the majority of long time gamers. Especially those with bad reflexes. Which is probably a lot of them. I honestly don't know how you can press five buttons in different orders for five minutes at a time and get bored playing a sandbox game, but that's just me.

So, can you post more than a one line reply?
