R is a spinoff. The true sequal is the psp exclusive.

Oh I'm sure, it's totally MGS5, and totally not a spinoff though not on the console all the MGS4 buyers bought to play the main series, while MGS:R is at least going to be on PS3, 360 and PC :P

Kojima himself said that the psp game was the true sequal, then the mgs4 team is working on that and not mgs R. Not only that, but kojima himself isn't working on it either, and it's called lightning bolt action, not tactical espionage stuff :p

none of them are called MGS5 which is my sarcasm at work, they're both spin-off's but still people called Kojima and Konami backstabbers and dishonarable because they just HAD a 360 version of a game.

Hence, Versus will soon be confirmed on the 360.

MGS 2 was on Xbox... not the first time MGS on a Microsoft platform.

Many still stated it after that was cleared up, but people already started writing it off as damage control, but really people just need to get over it.  A game is a game is a game, doesn't matter what console it comes to, only thing that matters is if it's good :)
