sounds and smells like an honest mistake IMHO. If MS had FFXIII for Japan I doubt they'd be quiet about it - the sooner they got the news out the sooner they could hope to swing local purchasers to invest now in 360, play Star Ocean, etc. then wait for the big one.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Not really. Even so, people are going to buy the game on PS3. If if a 360 version releases later, the PS3 version will be above 1.8 million.

The US site has the same image with the Japanese text. So this could be indeed some site error... The Japanese page image looks more like a template, maybe all automatic captions?

Ok, then that makes me think that Microsoft is being perfectly honest and that it was a mistake. The Japanese text in the banner was the only thing that struck me as a bit fishy, but since it also appears that way on their US site, there is no evidence of anything other than site error.

Regarding the Japanese text, absolutely no information is given. The entries for "Genre", "Release Date", and "Console" all read "None" or "TBA", and no information is entered for "Developer" or "Publisher".
