Both are set up as shining examples of the companies they represent: Chief for Microsoft and Samus for Nintendo.

Master Chief
Ever since Master Chief came on the scene in the original Halo, the Xbox faithful had their hero… and one hell of a hero he is. Adhering to the philosophy that less is more (at least in the talking department), Chief is a man of few words but a lot of action. Whether dual-wielding some of the sickest weapons ever created, piloting a Warthog through the rough-and-tumble wastelands, or generally setting the universe a-cheese with his advanced bulletry, Chief is a cool customer… and the perfect face for a new generation of shooter fans. Samus Aran
Samus has been cruising the cosmos significantly longer than Master Chief. Arriving on the scene in 1986, the no-nonsense bounty hunter has been featured in nine games, and is a staple in an impressive arsenal of Nintendo characters.
Although her identity was obscured in the original Metroid until beating the game, Samus has since been immortalized in fanboy lore as the ultimate galaxy-hopping femme fatale. With high-tech weaponry, vast intelligence and unparalleled knack for puzzle-solving, Samus has gotten herself out of many a tough scrape, whether against Mother Brain or a horde of bloodthirsty space pirates. She always lives to fight again… Will she survive Master Chief?
