Forums - Sony - Upcoming PSP Mega-Hit: Hatsune Miku - Project DIVA

Though most American gamers are probably not very familiar with Hastune Miku, but it's huge in Japan. It's first official game, a music rhythm game is scheduled for release on 7/02/09 in Japan.

With almost every single big game store chain in Japan promoting the game with their original pre-order gift, it seems this game could hit 500,000 first week... and could make it over a million life-time in Japan alone...

Game Detail (Truncated):

Over 30 Costumes: with familiar SEGA cameo (Valkyria Chronicle, Skys of Arcadia, Space Channel etc)

Over 30 Tracks: with million hit song such as: "Love is War," "Melt," "Last Night, Good Night,"  as well as original etc.

Editor (!!!): Able to create your own motion sets with your own MP3!

Other Vocaloid will also appear: Rin, Lin, etc.

She is pretty popular on Youtube, I think that's where you have seen her.

Valkyria cameos you say?

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Check out MyAnimeList and my Game Collection. Owner of the 5 millionth post.

I cant believe it took this long for them to make it and PSP I surprisingly think is a good platform for this game.

I dunno how big it will actually be but sure to push some hardware/software.

Does it have Strobe Nights?

Prediction:

TGS this year for PS3 will be amazing.

Grandia comes to PSN(PSone classic).

First Versus gameplay this year.

The Adventures Of Duane and Brando

I'm buying it.
That's what I love about Japan. In the rest of the world we have female pop idols. In Japan, they have computer pop idols. So awesome.

Yes it does have Strobe Nights, and the game features a music editor.
