A few quick thoughts.

-- The other content notes were documented as part of the main E3 presentation -- so they are not anything secret. So Pachter is not making up anything or reporting anything new.

-- Nevertheless, he may be right that Natal is essentially Microsoft "smoke and mirrors."

-- The Italian general newspaper "The Republic" posted a technology article that said Nintendo told the Japanese software giants of a Wii with HDD and HDMI for October 2010 and a new, more powerful handheld for "end" 2011. That is the only corroboration of Pachter's WiiHD statements.

Having a HDMI port doesn't mean the Wii would render (or even output) in a HD resolution.

You know I'm kind of tired of the Anti-Patcher crap... he's far more accurate than anyone here is. Not only that, but he also has inside information and has a massive network of people who channel him information. I think that when he says something you should pay attention... just because it doesn't come true doesn't mean that it wasn't a highly likely scenario. He knows more than you do and that's not even something you can begin to question.

Please post a list of Pachter predictions which have come true. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of them will be trivial stuff.

"We think that Project Natal is intended less as a game control scheme than it is as an easy-to-use dashboard control scheme, and we do not expect the device to be launched at retail until it has sufficient third party game support to justify a majority of the installed base to purchase it (we estimate 30 third party games would be sufficient)," wrote Pachter in a note following last week's E3 conference.

The vast majority are right and in the end that's what matters no?  Kotaku did a write up about it... I'll see if I can't hunt it down.

The vast majority are right and in the end that's what matters no?  Kotaku did a write up about it... I'll see if I can't hunt it down.

He said things like... The PS3 will win the generation due to Blu-Ray. I've never seen one of his big predictions come true, it's always stuff like "GTA IV will be delayed" that comes true.
